This a very creepy little story about a young man that every woman would hope to avoid. The story is not full of sentences that will make you look over your shoulder in fear , but it will make you feel very uneasy. The main character has issues...oh boy does he! Murdering someone comes as easy to him as having a cup of coffee. One thing he was not expecting though was to have relations belonging to a dead girl come to his stomping ground to investigate for themselves why and how she died. This is definitely a page turner !!

Emily is back too and just as blunt as ever(see what I did there hehe)...I have to admit I think she is great fun! She is as sharp tongued and a quick thinker as she ever was!
The great and powerful Miranda ,the all seeing and terror inducing magazine editor is back too scaring the living daylights out of everyone that has to come into contact with her....I was glad to see that little has change with this high heel wearing she devil.
It looks like Andy and Miranda are meant to meet again in this very moreish read and it was with great pleasure that I read every single cringing moment.
If you were a fan of the first book then you will enjoy this a lot but even if you have never read it then you will still enjoy it a lot. Personally I would pick up book 1 first.

This was the perfect read for me at this time of year when time spent near the seaside is a must in the hotter weather! If you enjoy books based around the sea and it's history and fables etc then there is every good chance you will enjoy this. This is a mystery based around an old man called Captain Shelby and a cemetery that our leading character Ethan Hodges comes across . The story is based in South Carolina and I really enjoyed the descriptions of the area throughout the story. You get a real sense of history there. Captain Shelby is a very enjoyable character to read about, he is like a rough edged grandfather figure that is just what Ethan needs. Ethan and Shelby's bond is very close and I really enjoyed reading about it ,you got the feeling that they both needed it, Ethan maybe more so. There is a darker feel to the story at times which builds tension and keeps you on the edge of your seat.I could not guess the ending , it really has you guessing until the end which is lovely and really keeps you on your toes. All in all a very enjoyable read esp if you enjoy a setting beside the sea. Wonderful!
I was kindly gifted this story by the author but you can find the author here:

I had been trying to get these first two books below for ages and was going to order them soon on line but then I came across these at my local library sale and I sure was a happy girl. Armistead Maupin is a wonderful writer!

The story flows seemingly effortlessly and I loved every minute of it. It is intriguing and engaging and the main characters are all interesting and I found myself imaging actors to play them. It was one of those books that really is perfect to daydream about while reading. Hungary is where the young woman's holidays are based and it is not somewhere I have read about often so it was a lovely change to read a little about the country and the people and it made me want to find out more about it.
This is a book for anyone who would enjoy a book based in the summertime with a twist to it that you really do not see coming ( Well done Emylia Hill!!, that was awesome).

This is probably one of the funniest books I have read in a long time!!!!
I have never watched Miranda's TV show but after reading this I will definitely be getting it .
Miranda has a way of talking to the reader that is similar to having a nice chat with an old friend while that old friend has a not so sneaky fart every so often.. If you have read the book you will know what I am talking about. Every page will have you smiling and many of them will have you rolling around the floor laughing gasping for breath as she produces another hilarious corker of a story from her life. I could not put this book down as it just got better and better the further it went on and you just wish that Miranda was your pal to have a laugh with and perhaps do some galloping..(Those who have read the story will understand). I recommend this twice daily to everyone in need of some giggle treatment xxxxxxxxxx
